FAQ
Am I under any obligation when I receive a valuation/quote through PriceMyHome?
Absolutely not. All of our valuations & quotes are provided for free and without any obligation whatsoever. We also guarantee that we will not pass on your details to any third parties other than our associate who needs to get in touch with you to provide the valuation/quote you request.
How accurate is a PriceMyHome valuation?
A PriceMyHome valuation is only a rough estimate and no substitute for an experienced valuer carrying out a full inspection of your property. If you are considering selling your house we would strongly advise you request a free, no obligation, market appraisal for an accurate valuation. Some points to remember –
The shorter the period of time since the date of purchase the more accurate the valuation is likely to be.
If you purchased the property at less than full market value (i.e. at a discounted rate from the council) the online valuation will reflect this discount and be less than it should.
If the nature or condition of the property has changed significantly since the date of purchase the online valuation could be inaccurate.
How do I get in touch?
Please visit our feedback page. If you have anything positive or negative to say about the service you have received through the PriceMyHome website we want to hear about it.
How does PriceMyHome use the information I provide?
PriceMyHome is a registered data controller under the terms of the Data Protection Act. This means we are very careful when processing your data and deciding who should have access to it. We guarantee not to pass your contact details to any third party other than those necessary to provide any quotes or market appraisals you specifically request from one of our associated companies. For more information see our privacy policy.
How does PriceMyHome value my property?
Our online valuation estimate is calculated by adjusting the price you paid for the property according to how much house prices have risen or fallen since the date of purchase. We look at various measures of house price inflation specific to your geographic location and apply these to produce an estimate of your properties current day value. We appreciate many homes have been improved or extended since they were last sold, which is why we allow you to take into consideration any added value.
How long does it take to get a valuation?
Your valuation estimate should be displayed on screen immediately.
What areas do you cover?

We can arrange a free, no obligation, market appraisal with experienced local estate agents in most parts of England & Wales as well as some of Scotland.
What does it cost to request a valuation?
Nothing! Our online valuation service is free. Always has been, always will be. In addition, if you are thinking of selling your property we can arrange completely free, no obligation, market appraisals from expert valuers based in your area.
